Frustration of a Desperado

Frustration of a Desperado

“I have been side-lined in APC.  Atiku in DailyTrust lead story of today Thursday,  Sept. 7, 2017.

Inside : “Recession ends when all Nigerians can eat three square meals  – Atiku,  same paper on page 35

Anybody that read today’s DailyTrust newspaper would have been confronted with the above captions.

Taking the first statement,  I wonder who really side-lined Atiku? Is it the many people that he nominated to various positions in the government of the day?  Amongst which the current Special assistant to the President on Media,  mal Garba Shehu is, Or the party officials that he was influential to bring on board?  Or Mr Atiku is referring to the President who openly visited him in his house in Abuja on a Thank you visit in recognition of his contribution during the campaign and elections?

It is understandable that Mr Atiku wanted to be the President, but he lost out to the current President since during the primary election.  And it is also understandable that Atiku contributed during the campaign and elections and the President acknowledged his contributions openly and even gave some slots to Atiku’s men and women and they all accepted.

They might be reporting to him before, but they now have new Principal that they must report to and some matters must be reported to him alone.  So, if Mr Atiku is now not hearing from them and he is taking that as being side-lined, then I think he is being delusional with the reality of things. Or if he is expecting the President to be contacting him in state matters then he must be far from the reality. He knows far too well what that seat represent and what it can do.  May be His Excellency forgot too soon that some 10 years back he was the 2ic to the then President Olusegun Obasanjo and he was there for good 8 years,  and I wonder if they reported or his President was reporting to some powerful party member who worked so hard for their party’s emergence then?

may be also the former VP forgot how he was side-lined from the affairs of both their government and their party by the then President during their 2nd tenure,  in fact I could remember how he was forced to defect to another party to contest for the presidency,  which of course was the beginning of his present predicament.  You know sir,  History is very honest.!

For the second statement, credited to the former Vice President is to say the least unfortunate. I say this because, like I said he was a Vice President for good 8 years and out of which in the first 4 years he was assumed to be the defacto President because he was too powerful of a Vice President then.  What really happened then, if I may ask?  I don’t want to go back to the history of how he abandoned his seat as an elected governor of Adamawa to take the VP position offered to him,  that will be another time.

But if I may remind the former VP in case he forgot,  was he not the same person that said “God does not answer the prayers of the masses” when they rigged their 2nd term elections?  Is he now referring to the same masses whose prayers could not be answered then for a three square meals out of recession? Has he forgotten so soon? Could he also remember that the dilapidated Gombe – Adamawa road was abandoned all this while till when this same government comes? You can easily know a political statement when you see one.

My Take:

Mr former VP the whole nation is watching you for what you are,  an ambitious desperado who wants to be the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by every means at his disposal,  but unfortunately for you sir,  THOSE PRAYERS OF THE MASSES THAT YOU SAID WERE NOT ANSWERED, THE ALMIGHTY ALLAH ANSWERED THEM SINCE YOU LEFT OFFICE AND THE RESULT IS WHAT YOU ARE SEEING.

YOU SEE THE SEAT OF THE PRESIDENT MAY LOOK NEAR TO YOU, BUT IT WILL BE VERY FAR AND VERY DIFFICULT FOR YOU TO SIT ON.

I will just advice you to defect now and pursue your long time ambition in that party that was you home, and  the masses WILL DECIDE YOUR FATE comes 2019.

WE PRAYED DAY AND NIGHT AND ALMIGHTY ALLAH IN HIS INFINITE MERCY AND WISDOM ANSWERED OUR PRAYERS AND NO ONE GREEDY AND SELFISH POLITICIAN WILL COME AND CONFUSE US.

PMB is the President as of now, if it is hard for you to swallow so be it, but you must wait now to 2019 to see if the seat will be vacant by then, as for now the seat is FULLY OCCUPIED AND THE MAN SITTING IS SITTING VERY PERFECTLY WELL.
